FindMyBall.io

AI golf ball tracking for real-world conditions.

FindMyBall.io is a computer vision prototype for detecting and tracking golf balls from short video clips. It is built as a practical AI / ML artifact: simple enough to deploy, serious enough to demonstrate real engineering direction.

The Problem

Golf balls are small, fast, reflective, and easily lost against grass, glare, shadow, motion blur, and uneven terrain. Simple color or shape rules are brittle under real playing conditions.

The MVP

The current system focuses on detection and tracking from short clips, producing structured outputs that can be reviewed, improved, and eventually connected to a mobile or web workflow.

The Stack

Python, FastAPI, OpenCV, YOLO-based detection, GitHub, Cloudflare Pages, and deployable API architecture.

Human Logistics Meets Machine Intelligence

Built by Don M. Inouye, FindMyBall.io combines decades of operational experience with modern AI / ML training. The goal is practical intelligence: systems that perceive, decide, and improve under real-world constraints.
